George Hogg

George Hogg commissioned as an Infantry Officer from Virginia Tech in 2010 and later transitioned into the Army’s Space Operations Officer program in 2016. As part of that transition, he became the first Space Operations Officer to serve within the 75th Ranger Regiment, helping integrate space enabled capabilities into special operations missions. Throughout his career, George has continued supporting multiple special operations units while working at the intersection of emerging technology, space systems, and modern warfare. With the support of the FIVE Foundation, he completed a Master of Science in Space Systems Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering in 2024 while remaining on active duty. Today George continues serving in U.S. Army Special Operations Command, focusing on the development and integration of advanced technologies that support national security. He remains committed to mentoring Rangers and other veterans interested in pursuing challenging STEM careers both in and out of uniform.
