
Bob Matzelle
Bob Matzelle is a native of New York and earned his commission as an Army officer from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in 2014, graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the ROTC Program. He began his active-duty career as a Company Fire Support Officer in Alaska before being selected to serve with the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, where he again served as a Company Fire Support Officer for Charlie Company, 3rd Ranger Battalion and worked alongside Connor Bednarzyk.
Following his active-duty service, Bob transferred to the National Guard and pursued a career in law enforcement where he served as a detective on a violent criminal investigative and apprehension unit and as a member of the SWAT Team. Having left law enforcement, Bob currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of New Hampshire’s Army ROTC Program as a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard. He holds a Master of Science in National Security Intelligence Analysis from the University of New Hampshire and has been blessed to be a recipient of an academic scholarship from the 5 Foundation and is deeply honored to represent and carry forward the legacy of his friend, Connor Bednarzyk.
